Abstract: Describes model tank tests carried out to study interaction between cone and multiyear ridge frozen into multiyear ice floe and to investigate effects on ice interactions and forces of having diameter of above-water vertical "neck" of structure almost as large as waterline diameter. Two ridge failure processes were observed.
