Stratigraphy and depositional setting of the Lagrelius Point Formation from the Lower Cretaceous of James Ross Island, Antarctica / Luis A. Buatois, Francisco J. Medina.
Title: | Stratigraphy and depositional setting of the Lagrelius Point Formation from the Lower Cretaceous of James Ross Island, Antarctica / Luis A. Buatois, Francisco J. Medina. |
Author(s): | Buatois, Luis A. Medina, Francisco J. |
Date: | 1993. |
In: | Antarctic Science. (1993.), Vol. 5(4) (1993) |
Abstract: | Study of least known unit of Cretaceous succession on James Ross Island outcropping at single locality of Lagrelius Point and consisting of 250 m of coarse-grained siliciclastic rocks. This paper seeks to define stratigraphical type section and to characterize sedimentary facies and discuss depositional setting. |
