Landscape differentiation and development of the south-eastern Sørkapp Land, Spitsbergen / Wiesław Ziaja.

Title: Landscape differentiation and development of the south-eastern Sørkapp Land, Spitsbergen / Wiesław Ziaja.
Author(s): Ziaja, Wiesław.
Date: 1993.
Publisher: Lublin: Maria Curie-Skłodowska University
In: XX Polar Symposium; Man Impact on Polar Environment. Lublin, Poland - June, 3-5, 1993. (1993.),
Abstract: Landscape in this area is very varied and changes quickly, even by Svalbard standards. Chapter gives 10 units with comments on changes visible, such as glacial retreat this century, and identifies parts still changing by total lack of vegetation, while some other parts have slow plant succession. Erosion by sea or glacier is fastest in coastal plains.
