Record #123807:

Precambrian history of Svalbard in the light of new radiometric age determinations / Yoshihide Ohta.

Title: Precambrian history of Svalbard in the light of new radiometric age determinations / Yoshihide Ohta.
Author(s): Ohta, Yoshihide.
Date: 1993.
Publisher: Lublin: Maria Curie-Skłodowska University
In: XX Polar Symposium; Man Impact on Polar Environment. Lublin, Poland - June, 3-5, 1993. (1993.),
Abstract: Chapter is dense and authoritative summary already. Author shows that "Hecla Hoek" cannot be used for all pre-Devonian rocks; solution is either to revert to international age divisions or to keep term for Late Proterozoic alone. Radiometric dating is principal tool for age determination, with many groups thus correlated with external events of Barents Sea, Caledonian, Baikalian, Grenvillian, Svecofennian or Canadian Shield.
Notes:
