Record #123631:

Radar studies at the mouths of ice streams D and E, Antarctica / Robert W. Jacobel, Robert A. Bindschadler.

Title: Radar studies at the mouths of ice streams D and E, Antarctica / Robert W. Jacobel, Robert A. Bindschadler.
Author(s): Jacobel, Robert W.
Bindschadler, Robert A.
Date: 1993.
In: Annals of Glaciology. (1993.), Vol. 17 (1993)
Abstract: During 1991-92 field season, surface-based impulse radar was used to produce ice-thickness profile across mouth of ice streams in order to measure ice thickness and aid in determining mass balance of these two ice streams. Results show that discharge areas are thickening by about 1 m a⁻¹, and thus mass is probably being lost.
