Record #123615:

Photogrammetric analysis of 1984-89 surface altitude change of the partially debris-covered Eliot Glacier, Mount Hood, Oregon, U.S.A. / S.C. Lundstrom, A.E. McCafferty, J.A. Coe.

Title: Photogrammetric analysis of 1984-89 surface altitude change of the partially debris-covered Eliot Glacier, Mount Hood, Oregon, U.S.A. / S.C. Lundstrom, A.E. McCafferty, J.A. Coe.
Author(s): Lundstrom, S. C.
McCafferty, A. E.
Coe, J. A.
Date: 1993.
In: Annals of Glaciology. (1993.), Vol. 17 (1993)
Abstract: Analysis indicates average thinning of ablation area of 4.2 m during 1984-89. Thinning is generally more marked near equilibrium line, where debris cover is absent, than on lower part of glacier, where supraglacial debris is thicker than 1 m. Pattern of change is partly related to reduction of ablation with increasing debris thickness, but flow kinematics are also important when considering changes in ice thickness.
