Record #123433:

Climate warming and the carbon cycle in the permafrost zone of the former Soviet Union / Tatyana P. Kolchugina, Ted S. Vinson.

Title: Climate warming and the carbon cycle in the permafrost zone of the former Soviet Union / Tatyana P. Kolchugina, Ted S. Vinson.
Author(s): Kolchugina, Tatyana P.
Vinson, Ted S.
Date: 1993.
In: Permafrost and Periglacial Processes. (1993.), Vol. 4(2) (1993)
Abstract: Climate warming could disrupt balance between processes of carbon accumulation and decomposition within permafrost zone. Present carbon cycle was assessed on basis of ecosystem/ecoregion approach, and it is concluded that degradation of permafrost may not affect future carbon emissions.
