Record #123282:

Seasonal and annual dynamics of particulate carbon flux in the Barents Sea / P. Wassmann, D. Slagstad.

Title: Seasonal and annual dynamics of particulate carbon flux in the Barents Sea / P. Wassmann, D. Slagstad.
Author(s): Wassmann, P.
Slagstad, D.
Date: 1993.
In: Polar Biology. (1993.), Vol. 13(6) (1993)
Abstract: Mathematical modelling was used to explore seasonal and annual variability of production and sedimentation between 72° and 80° N in central Barents Sea from 1981-1983. Model allows for several blooms and predicts greater flux in warmer years, with sedimentation varying due to zooplankton grazing alone. Result suggests supply of organic carbon strongly influenced by zooplankton dynamics.
