Record #123258:

Børneulykker i Grønland / Peter Bjerregaard.

Title: Børneulykker i Grønland / Peter Bjerregaard.
Translated title: Child accidents in Greenland.
Author(s): Bjerregaard, Peter.
Date: 1993.
Language: Danish.
In: Forskning i Grønland = Tusaat. (1993.), Vol. 1 (1993)
Abstract: Author claims that research in Greenland's really great problem, health, is negligible compared with that into the past and into biology. The Danish Institute for Clinical Epidemiology, DIKE, has studied death rates of different populations. Author gives comparisons between town and village dwellers and between Greenland and Faroes and Denmark. A large proportion of deaths are due to "traditional" causes - drowning, guns or fire - and many could be prevented by wearing helmets or life jackets.
Notes:

Forskning i Grønland = Tusaat. Vol. 1 :8-10 (1993).

Keywords: 614 -- Public health and safety.

I -- Medicine and health.
(*38) -- Greenland.
