Record #123058:

A comparison of VLBI data with the ICE-3G glacial rebound model / Thomas S. James, Anthony Lambert.

Title: A comparison of VLBI data with the ICE-3G glacial rebound model / Thomas S. James, Anthony Lambert.
Author(s): James, Thomas S.
Lambert, Anthony.
Date: 1993.
In: Geophysical Research Letters. (1993.), Vol. 20(9) (1993)
Abstract: Crustal motion predicted by this model exhibits pattern of tangential (horizontal) divergence away from centres of uplift (e.g. Hudson Bay and Gulf of Bothnia). Tangential velocities reach peak magnitudes of 1 to 2 mm a⁻¹ and must be included when predicting Very-Long-Baseline-Interferometry (VLBI) baseline-length change rates due to post-glacial rebound. Enables refinement of Earth and ice models used in glacial rebound studies.
Notes:

Geophysical Research Letters. Vol. 20(9) :871-874 (1993).

Keywords: 551.33 -- Glacial geology.
551.334.2 -- Isostasy, glacial.
E7 -- Glaciology: glacial geology and ice ages.
