Abstract: Recounts role of rock shelter built in December 1911 at Cape Geology, Granite Harbour, by Griffith Taylor's four-man surveying party. Authors visited remains of structure in January 1992 and discovered pencil note left there in cigarette tin for Lieutenant H.L.L. Pennell, Terra Nova skipper, who was supposed to retrieve party from Granite Harbour.
