Record #122834:

Accelerator-mass-spectrometer ages for the Younger Dryas event in Atlantic Canada / Francis E. Mayle, André J. Levesque, Les C. Cwynar.

Title: Accelerator-mass-spectrometer ages for the Younger Dryas event in Atlantic Canada / Francis E. Mayle, André J. Levesque, Les C. Cwynar.
Author(s): Mayle, Francis E.
Levesque, André J.
Cwynar, Les C.
Date: 1993.
In: Quaternary Research. (1993.), Vol. 39(3) (1993)
Abstract: Presents first AMS ¹⁴C dates from six sites in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. Evidence suggests onset of cooling at 10.77 (possibly 10.88) ka BP. Termination averages 10 ka BP. These dates place timing of Younger Dryas event in Atlantic Canada closer in line with traditional chronozone boundaries of 11 and 10 ka BP in north-weat Europe.
Notes:

Quaternary Research. Vol. 39(3) :366-360 (1993).

Keywords: 551.336 -- Ice ages.
551.337 -- Chronology of the Pleistocene and recent periods.
551.794 -- Holocene.
E7 -- Glaciology: glacial geology and ice ages.
(*41) -- Canada.
(*416) -- Canadian Maritime Provinces.
(*412) -- Nova Scotia.
(*415) -- New Brunswick.
