Title: Analysis of synthetic aperture radar data collected over the southwestern Greenland ice sheet / Kenneth C. Jezek, Mark R. Drinkwater, J.P. Crawford, Robert A. Bindschadler, R. Kwok.
Author(s): Jezek, Kenneth C.

Date: 1993.
In: Journal of Glaciology. (1993.), Vol. 39(131) (1993)
Abstract: Presents and discusses airborne SAR data collected on 31 August 1989. Offers descriptive model of way in which snow facies are manifest in SAR imagery, depending on wetness of snow. On basis of results, it is predicted that P-band backscatter intensity will decrease up-glacier above dry-snow line, where ice lenses are less numerous, and that there will be strong seasonal dependence in backscatter associated with snowmelt.
