Record #122817:

Thermo-mechanically coupled ice-sheet response -- cold, polythermal, temperate / Kolumban Hutter.

Title: Thermo-mechanically coupled ice-sheet response -- cold, polythermal, temperate / Kolumban Hutter.
Author(s): Hutter, Kolumban.
Date: 1993.
In: Journal of Glaciology. (1993.), Vol. 39(131) (1993)
Abstract: Classical mixture concepts are appropriate for describing dynamics of ice masses containing some water. Reviews and derives theoretical formulations of cold, polythermal and temperate ice masses, emphasizing peculiarities of model equations and pointing out difficulties that were encountered with proposed models. Focus is both on adequate physical motivation of models and consistency of mathematical representation.
