Record #122811:

Effect of climatic perturbations on the equilibrium-line altitude, West Greenland / Walter Ambach.

Title: Effect of climatic perturbations on the equilibrium-line altitude, West Greenland / Walter Ambach.
Author(s): Ambach, Walter.
Date: 1993.
In: Journal of Glaciology. (1993.), Vol. 39(131) (1993)
Abstract: Perturbation analysis is applied to heat balance at EGIG line with respect to climatic changes. Shift of equilibrium-line altitude is obtained for perturbations of temperature, absolute humidity, cloudiness, and annual accumulation. Total net ice ablation at EGIG line increases by 45% with perturbation of +1 K. Applying this figure to entire ice sheet, total ablation equals total accumulation at warming of +2 K, if refreezing of meltwater is neglected.
