Record #122804:

Sea ice flexural rigidity: a comparison of methods / R.L. DiMarco, J.P. Dugan, W.W. Martin, W.B. Tucker, III.

Title: Sea ice flexural rigidity: a comparison of methods / R.L. DiMarco, J.P. Dugan, W.W. Martin, W.B. Tucker, III.
Author(s): DiMarco, R. L.
Dugan, J. P.
Martin, W. W.
Tucker, W. B.,
Date: 1993.
In: Cold Regions Science and Technology. (1993.), Vol. 21(3) (1993)
Abstract: During field experiment, flexural rigidity of part of multiyear ice floe was calculated, using static and dynamic geophysical techniques. Dynamic technique consisted of measuring phase speed of flexural waves travelling along ice. Coincidentally, vertical profiles of ice properties were obtained from ice cores, sllowing static determination of flexural rigidity. Compares results.
