| Abstract: | Article follows one on same topic in Grønland, 1992, 40(3). Carl Wagner's grandson sent in letter from missionary to his parents about life of his Inuit flock. Describes houses in settlements, seasonal migration to camp for various kinds of hunting and fishing, various uses of women's boats. Wagner was much in demand for (annual) services of baptism, Communion and marriages, held out-of-doors, and to visit their coffee parties and dances. Included are many small details of daily/seasonal life among a people that Wagner missed very much on his return to Denmark after 12 years. |
