Aims are to provide for administrative needs of Greenland and to conduct research. Quality of education has been easier to achieve of late, as school standards rise. Author describes lengths of main courses and, financial provision, library contacts with outside, mainly Nordic countries and North America, problems and some compensations of isolation. Permanent staff of 12, with some part-timers and guest lecturers, leaves little leeway, but author believes it vital to give higher priority to quality than to ethnic-cultural factors.
