Abstract: | Report on visit to fur farm where Dolgany work, by members of joint expedition of journalists from Japanese newspaper Hokkaido Shimbun and Sibirskaya Gazeta. Expedition was part of International Year of Indigenous Peoples. Discusses problems of Dolgany (considered to be youngest Siberian people resulting from interaction of Yakuty, Eveny, Evenki, Nganasany and Russians); persuading qualified medical and school workers to stay in North and high price of air fares. Conclusion. Parts 1-5 in Sibirskaya Gazeta, 1993, Nos. 1-4, and 6. |
