Record #122657:

Model study of cable-moored conical platform / W.A. Nixon, R. Ettema, M. Matsuishi, R.C. Johnson.

Title: Model study of cable-moored conical platform / W.A. Nixon, R. Ettema, M. Matsuishi, R.C. Johnson.
Author(s): Nixon, W. A.
Ettema, R.
Matsuishi, M.
Johnson, R. C.
Date: 1993.
In: Journal of Cold Regions Engineering. (1993.), Vol. 7(1) (1993)
Abstract: Objectives of study were to determine effects of stiffness of mooring system, as well as dimensions and speed of ice, on forces and motions that cable-moored conical platform would encounter while in continuous mode of breaking large moving ice sheet. Presents results of tests in ice tank, performed with model-scale platform and sheets of urea model ice.
Notes:
