| Abstract: | Presents numerical simulation of seasonal sea-ice cover in Arctic Ocean and Greenland, Iceland and Norwegian seas. Model is extracted from Oberhuber's (1990) coupled sea-ice--mixed layer--isopycnal general circulation model and is written in spherical coordinates. Results of sensitivity studies are discussed; approximately 80 runs were performed in which change from control run environment was implemented. Comparisons made between control run and particular sensitivity run based on time series of seasonal cycle of domain-averaged ice thickness, compactness, areal coverage, velocity, and surface temperature for each season is presented for selected experiments. |
