| Abstract: | Aim was to evaluate very low melt rates of sea ice on Saromo-ko (lagoon), Hokkaido, from measurements of salinity variations in controlled environment, so that salinity becomes direct function of melt or, during ice growth, would be direct function of brine flux from ice sheet.
