Record #122587:

Microwave brightness temperatures of laboratory-grown undeformed first-year ice with an evolving snow cover / A.W. Lohanick.

Title: Microwave brightness temperatures of laboratory-grown undeformed first-year ice with an evolving snow cover / A.W. Lohanick.
Author(s): Lohanick, A. W.
Date: 1993.
In: Journal of Geophysical Research. (1993.), Vol. 98(C3) (1993)
Abstract: Describes laboratory experiment in which snow cover was introduced onto established saline ice sheet, resulting in physical processes that affected significantly microwave brightness temperature over period of several weeks. Simple dielectric model was used to test dependence of 10 GHz brightness temperature on relevant physical conditions at bottom of snow.
