| Abstract: | After collapse of cod fishing off West Greenland in 1990, catch in autumn 1991 reached its smallest total since 1982. In comparison with previous year it decreased still further. Regular but small emergence of young fish points to only slight recovery. Some ecologically interesting but economically unimportant species show stagnation at a low level or only slight increase. Establishment of precautionary measures for cod considered essential. |
