Record #122546:

Temporal and spatial variation in mercury concentrations in some albatrosses and petrels from the sub-Antarctic / D.R. Thompson, Robert W. Furness, S.A. Lewis.

Title: Temporal and spatial variation in mercury concentrations in some albatrosses and petrels from the sub-Antarctic / D.R. Thompson, Robert W. Furness, S.A. Lewis.
Author(s): Thompson, D. R.
Furness, Robert W.
Lewis, S. A.
Date: 1993.
In: Polar Biology. (1993.), Vol. 13(4) (1993)
Abstract: Presents results of an equivalent study of mercury concentration data for feather samples of some large sub-Antarctic procellariiform seabirds from study skin collections in museums and from contemporary specimens. Study tested for long-term changes in contamination in seabirds from less industrialised southern hemisphere. Contemporary samples included albatrosses and petrels from New Zealand, South Georgia, Gough, Marion and Falkland islands.
