Record #122539:

The deformational history of the Larsemann Hills, Prydz Bay: the importance of the Pan-African (500 Ma) in East Antarctica / Paul H.G.M. Dirks, Chris J. Carson, Christopher J.L. Wilson.

Title: The deformational history of the Larsemann Hills, Prydz Bay: the importance of the Pan-African (500 Ma) in East Antarctica / Paul H.G.M. Dirks, Chris J. Carson, Christopher J.L. Wilson.
Author(s): Dirks, Paul H. G. M.
Carson, Chris J.
Wilson, Christopher J. L.
Date: 1993.
In: Antarctic Science. (1993.), Vol. 5(2) (1993)
Abstract: Presents critical reassessment of structural-metamorphic development in order to evaluate importance of 500 Ma events and to investigate validity of generally accepted theory of 1000 Ma decompressional P-T-t path, with implications for tectonic interpretations of Prydz Bay area and position of 1000 Ma mobile belt. Attempts to establish deformational history for Broknes Peninsula, one of two main outcrops in Larsemann Hills.
