Abstract: | Reports 1990 survey of all six colonies of Aptenodytes forsteri breeding on sea ice from Cape Roget to Cape Crozier, two by close overflight and four from ground. Most important physical characteristics of habitats: stable fast ice, nearby open water, access to fresh snow and shelter from wind. |
