Record #122416:
Quaternary geology of the Bissett area, southeastern Manitoba: applications to drift prospecting / P.J. Henderson.
Title: | Quaternary geology of the Bissett area, southeastern Manitoba: applications to drift prospecting / P.J. Henderson. |
Author(s): | Henderson, P. J. |
Date: | 1993. |
In: | Geological Survey of Canada. Paper. (1993.), Vol. 93-1B (1993) |
Abstract: | Studies designed to aid mineral propecting by establishing geological framework for interpreting glacial dispersal of geochemical and mineralogical components of till associated with bedrock mineralization. Ice-flow indicators and distribution patterns of subglacial and ice-marginal sedinebts indicate that region was glaciated by ice flowing south-west during last glaciation. Regional till sampling in uplands south of mineralized zone should indicate areas for follow-up studies. |
