The characterization of massive ground ice at Yaya Lake, Northwest Territories using radar stratigraphy techniques / Stephen D. Robinson, Brian J. Moorman, Alan S. Judge, Scott R. Dallimore.

Title: The characterization of massive ground ice at Yaya Lake, Northwest Territories using radar stratigraphy techniques / Stephen D. Robinson, Brian J. Moorman, Alan S. Judge, Scott R. Dallimore.
Author(s): Robinson, Stephen D.
Moorman, Brian J.
Judge, Alan S.
Dallimore, Scott R.
Date: 1993.
In: Geological Survey of Canada. Paper. (1993.), Vol. 93-1B (1993)
Abstract: Object was to delineate lateral extent, thickness and internal character of this feature on Richards Island. Technique proved successful. Series of profiles presented illustrate striking change in character of ice body and enclosing sediments from one end to other. Dimensions were 420x210 m, with maximum thickness of 10 m. Probably of buried glacial origin.
