Comparative zinc and lead toxicity tests with Arctic marine invertebrates and implications for toxicant discharges / Peter M. Chapman, Cathy McPherson.
Title: | Comparative zinc and lead toxicity tests with Arctic marine invertebrates and implications for toxicant discharges / Peter M. Chapman, Cathy McPherson. |
Author(s): | Chapman, Peter M. McPherson, Cathy. |
Date: | 1993. |
In: | Polar Record. (1993.), Vol. 29(168) (1993) |
Abstract: | Summarizes results of study in which epontic and benthic amphipods and pelagic mysid were collected under ice at Little Cornwallis Island and exposed on site to dissolved zinc and lead to determine lethal concentrations. Results suggest that invertebrates were surprisingly insensitive under all test conditions. Discusses implications for Arctic developments and proposes topics for further research. |
