Abstract: | As Wrightian labour movement's halls were not usable, many new halls were built in 1903-1916. Sawmill was built on Veitsiluoto in 1920s. It was government-owned, but its facilities still did not quite meet needs of socialists, so local labour movement built their own. Lottery could not be licensed, so work went ahead financed by loans, and stopped when they ran out. New Rights of Assembly law allowed disbanding of Communist organistions, so only sports club remained, until it also died. |
