Record #120738:

Occurrence of algae on tundra soils in Oskar II Land, Spitsbergen / Andrzej S. Oleksowicz, Luścińska.

Title: Occurrence of algae on tundra soils in Oskar II Land, Spitsbergen / Andrzej S. Oleksowicz, Luścińska.
Author(s): Oleksowicz, Andrzej S.
Date: 1992.
In: Polish Polar Research. (1992.), Vol. 13(2) (1992)
Abstract: Authors identified 104 algal taxa (31 blue-green algae, 48 diatoms and 25 green algae) from 18 stands of tundra soils in Kaffiøyra Plain, NW Spitsbergen. Based on statistical analysis by reciprocal averaging method and on hierarchical classification via "distinguishing species", two groups of stands were found: moist and wet ones characterised by diatoms and dry or drying ones characterised by blue-green algae.
