Record #120693:
Glacio-fluvial investigations of the seasonal development of an alpine glacier drainage system, Yukon Territory / Glenn Kruszynski, Peter G. Johnson.
Title: | Glacio-fluvial investigations of the seasonal development of an alpine glacier drainage system, Yukon Territory / Glenn Kruszynski, Peter G. Johnson. |
Author(s): | Kruszynski, Glenn. Johnson, Peter G. |
Date: | 1992. |
In: | Musk-ox. (1992.), Vol. 39 (1992) |
Abstract: | Seasonal and daily variations in quantity and quality of meltwaters draining from Maxwell Glacier, Yukon Territory, were measured to assess interrelationships between subglacial sediment sources and meltwater routing. Temporal variations are dependent on form and development of subglacial drainage system. Preliminary analysis suggests that variations of incoming radiation and air temperature were in phase with those of hydrological characteristics. |
