Abstract: Observations of frost weathering of bedrock from 1988 to 1990 revealed that rate of weathering was greater in summer than in winter and in higher places than in lower. It was more frequent on east and south-east slopes than on slopes of other aspects, and it was greater in years with high mean annual air temperatures.
