Evidence for a grounded ice sheet on the Ross Sea continental shelf during the Late Pleistocene and preliminary paleodrainage reconstruction / John B. Anderson, Stephanie S. Shipp, Louis Robert Bartek, David E. Reid.

Title: Evidence for a grounded ice sheet on the Ross Sea continental shelf during the Late Pleistocene and preliminary paleodrainage reconstruction / John B. Anderson, Stephanie S. Shipp, Louis Robert Bartek, David E. Reid.

In: Antarctic Research Series. (1992.), Vol. 57 (1992)
Abstract: Detailed analysis of high-resolution seismic profiles and piston cores was conducted in order to test models of marine ice-sheet dynamics and stability. Seismic records were examined for evidence of glacial erosion and subglacial deposition. Data demonstrate that east and west Antarctic ice sheets grounded on continental shelf during last glacial maximum.
