Abstract: Series of glacigenic sequences from south to north in lobe are used to differentiate eight significant intervals of glacial advance and retreat within Late Wisconsin subepisode (last glaciation). These include Marengo, Shelby, Putnam, Livingston, Woodstock, Crown Point, Port Huron and Denmark phases, which began at 26, 22.5, 18.5, 17.5, 16.2, 15.5, 13 and 12 ka. Each subsequent readvance was less extensive than previous one.
