Record #120121:

Supraglacial sedimentation in continental glacial environments, Dalarna (Sweden) and Avalon, Newfoundland (Canada): a comparative analysis / Norm R. Catto.

Title: Supraglacial sedimentation in continental glacial environments, Dalarna (Sweden) and Avalon, Newfoundland (Canada): a comparative analysis / Norm R. Catto.
Author(s): Catto, Norm R.
Date: 1992.
Abstract: Differences in sediments reflect contrasting glacial histories of these two regions. In Dalarna, assemblages were produced by progressive slow supraglacial ablation of relatively thick ice mass, combined with subglacial melt. In Avalon, assemblages suggest rapid ablation of thin glaciers, which did not permit formation of complex sequences.
