| Abstract: | Presents available data concerning these moraines, including morphological characteristics and areal distribution, composition, textural and structural properties, and suggestion concerning glacial environment in which they were formed. Pulju moraines are common at or slightly north of former ice divides of north-west Finnish Lapland, and consist of winding ridges and hummocks which are non-oriented relative to direction of ice flow. Sevetti moraines are located outside former ice divides in north-east Inari Lapland, and are assemblages of rugged-surfaced landforms with boulder-strewn surfaces. Both are rare elsewhere. |
