Abstract: Maximum solar radiation around 9 ka brought about large volume of permafrost meltwater from Amur basin, as well as from basins on Japan Sea side of Sikhote Alin Gory, Sakhalin and Hokkaido. Cold meltwater spead over Okhotsk and Japan seas, and caused regional cooling in Hokkaido and Sakhalin.
