| Abstract: | Object was to develop database of extreme ice features (EIF: causing extreme design loads, i.e. >3000,000 tonnes, on offshore production platform) using Canadian Atmospheric Environment Service synthetic aperture radar and other available remotely sensed data and, if possible, identify means of continuing database in future. Statistical analyses were carried out on EIF data obtained and estimate made of impact rate of EIFs against structure in southern Beaufort Sea. |
