Summer diet of seabirds feeding in sea-ice-covered water near Svalbard / O.J. Lønne, Geir Wing Gabrielsen.

Title: Summer diet of seabirds feeding in sea-ice-covered water near Svalbard / O.J. Lønne, Geir Wing Gabrielsen.
Author(s): Lønne, O. J.
Gabrielsen, Geir Wing.
Date: 1992.
In: Polar Biology. (1992.), Vol. 12(8) (1992)
Abstract: Describes and compares diets of birds feeding in areas with seasonal sea-ice cover with diets of from in areas with perennial sea-ice cover. Emphasis on comparing diets with composition of symphagic fauna collected from same locations. Importance of symphagic species in diet is thought to be closely related to age and history of ice in feeding area.
