Linear or nonlinear covariance of seasonal snowmelt and snow cover in western Himalayas / B. Dey, V.K. Sharma, Albert Rango.
Title: | Linear or nonlinear covariance of seasonal snowmelt and snow cover in western Himalayas / B. Dey, V.K. Sharma, Albert Rango. |
Author(s): | Dey, B. Sharma, V. K. Rango, Albert. |
Date: | 1992. |
In: | Nordic Hydrology. (1992.), Vol. 23(3) (1992) |
Abstract: | Log-linear, exponential and fractional relations for estimating seasonal snowmelt from early spring snow accumulation in Indus and Kabul river basins are developed to improve prediction given by bivariate linear regression models developed previously. Although transformed data improved prediction, they failed to satisfy condition of nonlinearity. |
