Upward looking sonar ice draft series from the Greenland Sea / Ånund S. Kvambekk, Torgny Vinje.
Title: | Upward looking sonar ice draft series from the Greenland Sea / Ånund S. Kvambekk, Torgny Vinje. |
Author(s): | Kvambekk, Ånund S. Vinje, Torgny. |
Date: | 1992. |
Publisher: | Seattle, WA: University of Washington, Applied Physics Laboratory, Polar Science Center |
In: | Report of the Sea Ice Thickness Workshop, 19-21 November 1991, New Carrollton, Maryland. (1992.), |
Abstract: | Three ice-thickness series using moored sonars were retrieved. One, at 75°N, covered period from June 1987 to June 1988; annual average ice thickness was 3.16 m. Two, at 79°N, ran from August 1990 to August 1991; annual average ice thickness was 3.37 m. Describes instruments used, which were prototypes developed in Norway. |
Notes: | In: Report of the Sea Ice Thickness Workshop, 19-21 November 1991, New Carrollton, Maryland / Alan S. Thorndike, Claire L. Parkinson, D.A. Rothrock, eds. |
