Record #119656:

Upward looking sonar ice draft series from the Greenland Sea / Ånund S. Kvambekk, Torgny Vinje.

Title: Upward looking sonar ice draft series from the Greenland Sea / Ånund S. Kvambekk, Torgny Vinje.
Author(s): Kvambekk, Ånund S.
Vinje, Torgny.
Date: 1992.
Publisher: Seattle, WA: University of Washington, Applied Physics Laboratory, Polar Science Center
In: Report of the Sea Ice Thickness Workshop, 19-21 November 1991, New Carrollton, Maryland. (1992.),
Abstract: Three ice-thickness series using moored sonars were retrieved. One, at 75°N, covered period from June 1987 to June 1988; annual average ice thickness was 3.16 m. Two, at 79°N, ran from August 1990 to August 1991; annual average ice thickness was 3.37 m. Describes instruments used, which were prototypes developed in Norway.
