Nitrogen dynamics and sub-ice meltwater patterns in a small boreal lake during snowmelt / H.G. Jones, J. Roberge.
Title: | Nitrogen dynamics and sub-ice meltwater patterns in a small boreal lake during snowmelt / H.G. Jones, J. Roberge. |
Author(s): | Jones, H. G. Roberge, J. |
Date: | 1992. |
In: | Eastern Snow Conference. Proceedings. (1992.), Vol. 49th Annual Meeting (1992) |
Abstract: | Study of chemical composition of snow meltwaters, stream waters, runoff, water column under ice cover, and discharge of Lac Laflamme, PQ, was undertaken during spring melt 1988. Results led to characterization of main factors for episodic acidification of lake sub-ice waters, especially origins of NO₃ and its relationship to acidity of stratified lake waters. |
