Record #119575:

Pressure induced amorphization of ice and clathrate hydrates / John S. Tse.

Title: Pressure induced amorphization of ice and clathrate hydrates / John S. Tse.
Author(s): Tse, John S.
Date: 1992.
Publisher: Sapporo: Hokkaido University Press
In: Physics and chemistry of ice. (1992.),
Abstract: Molecular dynamics calculations show that crystalline→amorphous transformation is due to mechanical instability. Reverse transition on pressure release is aided by guest molecules in clathrates, but disordered structure remains stable for ice Ih.
Notes:

In: Physics and chemistry of ice / Norikazu Maeno, Takeo Hondoh, eds.

Keywords: 551.32 -- Glaciology.
551.322 -- Ice and snow.
