| Abstract: | Investigations made in 1990-92. Aim was to map extent of cold ice in polythermal glacier using radio echo-sounding and measurements of ice temperatures with thermistor cables in eight boreholes. Radar images suggest two-layered thermal structure, with surface cold layer 20 to 60 m thick along centre flow line to glacier front. |
