| Abstract: | Painter lines on top and frontal zone of talus rock glacier permitted longitudinal profile of surficial velocity distribution to be obtained. Measured over 8 to 12 year period. In upper zone, slowing of movement coincides with negative mass balance of local glaciers, Discussion focuses on variations in velocity of rock glaciers over short time-scale. |
