Record #119442:

Remote sensing of atmosphere--cryosphere interactions in the polar basin / Ellsworth F. LeDrew.

Title: Remote sensing of atmosphere--cryosphere interactions in the polar basin / Ellsworth F. LeDrew.
Author(s): LeDrew, Ellsworth F.
Date: 1992.
In: Canadian Geographer. (1992.), Vol. 36(4) (1992)
Abstract: Reviews use of remotely sensed data to study nature of these interactions and how they contribute to understanding climate change and variability. Conceptual framework for aspects of atmosphere--cryosphere interaction is presented through discussion of feedback scenarios. Role of remote sensing in understanding these scenarios is explored through examination of studies over past 15 years. Remote sensing capabilities for cryosphere monitoring proposed for satellite systems of 1990s is discussed.
