Record #119408:

In-situ stress measurements in a fast ice and possible tidal loads on structures / V.A. Nikitin, A.I. Shushlebin, I.B. Sheikin.

Title: In-situ stress measurements in a fast ice and possible tidal loads on structures / V.A. Nikitin, A.I. Shushlebin, I.B. Sheikin.
Author(s): Nikitin, V. A.
Shushlebin, A. I.
Sheikin, I. B.
Date: 1992.
Publisher: Golden, CO: International Society of Offshore and Polar Engineers (ISOPE)
In: Proceedings of the Second (1992) International Offshore and Polar Engineering Conference. Vol. 2. (1992.),
Abstract: Shows that stress measurements in surface layer of ice block between first and second tidal cracks, close to each of them, gives some idea of loads affecting shore ice, anchor ground and hydrotechnical structures. Results of in-situ measurements are given.
Notes:

In: The proceedings of the Second (1992) International Offshore and Polar Engineering Conference. Vol. 2 / Michael S. Triantafyllou, Jin S. Chung, Karel Karal, Alfred L. Tunik, eds.

Keywords: 624.145 -- Floating ice, engineering aspects.
624.145.5 -- Floating ice, bearing strength.
622.242.42 -- Offshore drilling platforms.
E12 -- Glaciology: frozen ground / snow and ice engineering.
