Record #119400:

Landfast ice pressure measurements in the Beaufort Sea / Mohamed Sayed, Robert M.W. Frederking.

Title: Landfast ice pressure measurements in the Beaufort Sea / Mohamed Sayed, Robert M.W. Frederking.
Author(s): Sayed, Mohamed.
Frederking, Robert M. W.
Date: 1992.
Publisher: Golden, CO: International Society of Offshore and Polar Engineers (ISOPE)
In: Proceedings of the Second (1992) International Offshore and Polar Engineering Conference. Vol. 2. (1992.),
Abstract: In context of ice pressure against offshore and other structures, such as wharfs, data are presented of landfast-ice pressure measurements in grounded rubble field in Beaufort Sea near Tuktoyaktuk. Average rate of ice movement against rubble was 0.15 m d⁻¹. Stresses appear to be thermally induced and show semi-diurnal cycling that coincides with tidal cycles.
Notes:

In: The proceedings of the Second (1992) International Offshore and Polar Engineering Conference. Vol. 2 / Michael S. Triantafyllou, Jin S. Chung, Karel Karal, Alfred L. Tunik, eds.
